Tough tackling midfielder dies.

Poor Alan Ball. My heart goes out to his family.

But he went the way he lived his life: sleeves rolled up; playing whole heartedly and tackling hard (even fires).

'66 this, '66 that, I bloody knew the SCOTTISH news would get infected tonight.

Shame all the same for the wee man, was one of the few genuine decent guys and great players of that team, unlike Hurst who's dined out on it ever since and couldnae kick his own arse.

yeah, Alan Ball was one of the good guys.

Chris Coleman's car broke down the other week after being sacked by Fulham and Alan Ball and his wife happened to be driving by and offered to pull his car home for him. Next day in the Fulham Gazette the headline read: "Chris Coleman gets towed by the Balls out of Fulham".

Brilliant.
