Calvin is now 12 years old!

Happy birthday big man. Deep voice, spots, big muscles and good looks. Just like his dad.

Thanks to everyone who got him presents. Cheers to Ryan Boy, Cameron, Nicola and Angie for making it out to Deer Park for the 10 pin bowling on Saturday afternoon. I think we all had the times of out lives.

And cheers to Sharlene's maw and paw for looking after Calvin on Saturday night. For some reason Calvin didn't want to spend his birthday staying in his own house and wanted to stay with Granny Marge and Granda Kenny. We can't help but feel slightly rejected.

Check out Cameron thinking it's his birthday, too!

Life is like a butterfly

Sharlene spotted this butterfly in the garden today and we managed to get a couple of photographs. after a little research it turns out that it's a male, Orange Tipped butterfly.

It's the first time we've seen a butterfly like this. It looks brilliant - the wings were amazingly vivid. It's a pity the photos don't do the wee guy justice.

Supposedly you don't see them too often in Scotland. Which just goes to show how smooth Newtongrange is.

Look ma, I'm on top of the world!

Played at Princes course on Friday with Ryan Man and Mark 'the shark' Wheeler.

Spot the difference competition II.

There are 3, possibly 4, but 5 at most, differences between the pictures on the left. Can you spot them and win a Smash Hits Yearbook?

Tough tackling midfielder dies.

Poor Alan Ball. My heart goes out to his family.

But he went the way he lived his life: sleeves rolled up; playing whole heartedly and tackling hard (even fires).

My eye hurts!

I don't know what the big yellow/veiny lump is that's come up on my eyeball. I'm no' worried.

This is pretty mental.

I've finished decorating the conservatory.

I did all the work whilst Sharlene sat about, looking at dirty piccies on t'internet.

Turned out nice, too.

My stereo scares me.

He's always watching me. Always judging.

Bored in Ikea?

Then why not make a rhino and wooly mammoth like Calvin does.

Here today, gone toe-morrow (excellent pun).

Yip, it's gone. After a few weeks, my big toenail finally fell off yesterday. Didn't take too long really. It's happened twice before and it took nearly six months so, really, this has been pretty quick.

Not sure what it'll be like kicking a ball with it as I've now only got half a toenail which was growing underneath the big bit that fell away and a big bit of toe skin.

Need to keep the big toebashers in the locker for a few months.

Limited Edition print.

Check this out. Here's a picture of me doing something in the house. Print it out and I'll sign it for you. Decorated the conservatory with a wee bit help from Sharlene. I'm on a weeks holiday. Whee!

5 Star(bars) day!

As well as lots of golf stuff from the family, I got 5 Starbars from my neighbour Duncan for my birthday. Imagine how I feel.

Working the night-shift.

Calvin has started carrying a big set of old keys because it helps him act out a few scenes from Night at the Museum. He thinks he's the jannie that fights with the wee monkey and throws the big bone for the t-rex to chase after.

What a beautiful way to live.

Trumpeting his skills

Check out the structure of the head on this elephant that Calvin's started working on.

He gets all his skill from me!

Wallace & Gromit again

Calvin has started making Wallace and Gromit again. He's putting more detail into Wallace's pullover and started putting trim around his boots.

This makes me laugh every time.

Another day, another article.

Calvin appears in another publication this week. Some magazine called Full House. Yes, I've never heard of it either. They got in contact with us and wanted to run a story on his mad skillz. Have a read, and try to imagine that those are the words that Sharlene would use!

Anyway, they paid us £100 for it - we've asked them to send it to Calvin's school for the boys to go on a wee trip.

Hooray!

Tea Bag's new bag.

Here's the new golf bag I got at the Scottish Golf Exhibition. It's totally sweet. I was looking for a bag as the one I've got at the moment is beginning to fall apart. I found this on one of the stalls at the exhibition and couldn't believe it was only thirty of your new English pounds.

By the way, I took the photos of it with my mobile phones camera. Click on the pick for a close up. Smooth.
