There's worse places in the world to have lunch.

Edinburgh is great, isn't it.

Princes Street gardens today for a Boots meal deal and all the
trees, fountains and castle my eyes could handle.

Got four birdies playing golf.

I paid £32 last weekend to play golf in the pouring rain at Kingsacre. I played truly shat. This is the nearest I got to a birdie or two.

The saying goes, 'good weather for ducks' - it certainly was. They were the only ones smiling.

Calvin's first day at high school

Calvin started high school yesterday. All dressed up in his fines.

Good luck, dude.

The Big Dipper

Trying some night shots again. This time with my new infra-red remote control.

These shots were taken from my back garden. As you can see, the Big Dipper looks pretty smooth above our house. The orange glow on the really long exposure (635 elephants) is actually all the light from Edinburgh! Cool.

I like the way you can see the earths rotation on a couple of them.

Rustboy?

Cameron and Nicola were in Barcelona recently and they took a photo of the statue on the left. I don't know which came first, but it is exactly like Rustboy.

Who are ya? Who are ya?

Isn't it weird when you can name all the opposing players but hardly any of the players or even the name of the manager of the team you supported when you were a kid?!

Hearts, pffffff.

Anyway, Here's Ronnie scoring a pen and some other pictures from the day.

God's country

Driving home from Edinburgh the other day, we stopped to take some pictures of Midlothian, basking in the warm sunshine.

Tears ran down my face, isn't it a beautiful wordl we live in. Isn't it just.

Burning ring of fire.

More camera shots. We sparked up the BBQ the other night and I managed to get some nice shots of it.

Long exposure shots. I'm starting to get to grips with it a bit now.

Trials with the camera

I was trying some long exposure stuff (phfnar) with my camera on a tripod the other night.

Check out the picture of the ripple clouds around the moon and the shot of the stars. The reddy thing on the right is a hawthorn tree moving in the wind.

For those who have seen Gregory's Girl, I did 45 elephants for the stars and 25 elephants for the moon.

Another wee interesting shot is the one of an aeroplane going over with it's lights flashing on and off.

Another wee frog.

We seem to be plagued with tiny wee frogs in the back garden this year. It's kinda cool.

Sharlene said she counted four climbibg on the hut door the other night.

Check out the size of the noggin' on this wee guy. He's like the Bamber Gascoigne of the frog wordl.

A quick half then back to school

Either he's started drinking very young or a clown has stopped for his lunch at the pub opposite my work

Warhol exhibition

Went to see the exhibition at the gallery at the bottom of the Mound on Friday with my new work (elmwood).

It was actually pretty good. I'm not the biggest fan of Warhol's stuff but, I have to say, it was pretty cool seeing it in the flesh.

I really liked his Elvis, the image of the gun and his kids room with the robot and silver fish were really cool.

No diving, bombing or heavy petting

We are keeping the dogs water bowl outside now that the weather got a little warmer and just about every morning some baby frogs appear in it from the night before. I bet they totally laugh it up during the night - snapping their mini towels as they get dry, wee-ing in the pool and stuff and that.

It never went out of fashion

Some guy sat in front of me on the bus yesterday. Sporting a rather natty mullet. It glowed in the sunshine.

He got off the bus about 6 stops from where he lives, probably just to let more people see it as he strode home, proud as punch.

Good on you mate.
